My First Six-Figure Project:
A Freelance Journey
Three years. Three years na akong freelance developer. Sa loob ng panahong 'yon, sobrang dami nang pinagdaanan—mga puyat, non-stop na pag-aaral, at ang constant hustle ng paghahanap ng clients.
Today, I'm sharing a huge milestone not to brag, but to document gratitude. For the first time ever, I landed a client for a six-figure project.
The Transformation
The Past
Back in corporate and government roles, it would take me 2 to 3 months just to earn ₱50,000. I had to save aggressively just to get by. Every small freelance gig was a lifeline.
The Present
One inquiry. A few messages. A portfolio presentation. Deal closed. The downpayment alone equaled months of my previous salary. This is the power of trust and expertise.
"This money isn't just a number; it's a symbol of the trust my client gave me. Ngayon, my responsibility is bigger—to prove that I am worthy of that trust."
What This Means
Validation
Proof that self-belief, hard work, and continuous learning actually pay off. The sleepless nights were worth it.
Excellence
My goal is to exceed expectations. I want to prove that every peso entrusted to me is returned in quality value.
Momentum
"Malayo na, pero malayo pa." This is just the beginning. There are more skills to learn and bigger goals to hit.
To all fellow freelancers dreaming of this transition: Don't give up. The day will come when your hard work bears fruit. Just trust the process.
